Tips for Making Mexican Coffee Cocktail

Making a Mexican coffee cocktail is easy enough, but here are some extra tips to enhance your experience with this drink:

  • Make your own Kahlua: You can also make your Kahlua from scratch. You can check out my recipe for making a Kahlua coffee liqueur.
  • Skip the sugar: Since the Kahlua is already sweet, you can skip the sugar in this recipe to tone down that sweetness.
  • Top it with some cocoa or spice: If you want to add some complexity to your cup, you can dust some cocoa powder, cinnamon, or cayenne pepper over the whipped cream.
